The DSS has been out and about across Shanghai in recent weeks – making music, performing on stage and getting involved in community initiatives. From concerts and anniversary celebrations to charity events, our students have been sharing their talents, gaining new experiences and showing how music and community spirit bring people together.
YOUNG浦 · International Youth Growth SHOW
Our orchestra and one of our school bands took to the stage for the inaugural event, joining more than 500 young people from Chinese and international schools. It was a fantastic opportunity to showcase their musical talents and be part of this exciting celebration of youth!
Shanghai International Arts Festival
For the second year running, our Big Band was invited to perform at the youth concert of the Shanghai International Arts Festival. Maya and Anton also returned as members of the presenting team, confidently hosting the event just as they did last year.
110 Years of Shidong Experimental School
One of our Chinese partner schools, Shidong Experimental School, celebrated its 110th anniversary, and the DSS was delighted to be part of the festivities. Our choir and brass band took to the stage, helping mark this special milestone and celebrate our long-standing partnership.
Making a Difference Through Charity
Our students were making a difference off stage, too! Through Bloodline’s youth organisation, members of our Social Action Group joined forces with students from numerous other international schools to support the initiative. Their long-standing commitment was recognised at the event. The DSS also had a musical presence, with our Yangpu brass band performing as part of the programme.
