The German School Shanghai is one of the largest German schools abroad. At its two campuses in Hongqiao and Yangpu, approximately 1,100 children and students receive an outstanding German education. We place great emphasis on visual communication, modern design, and digital solutions. To strengthen our communications team, we are seeking a talented graphic designer (m/f/d) to join us immediately. The ideal candidate will impress us with innovative ideas, technical expertise, and a keen sense of aesthetics.
Responsibilities:
- Development and implementation of print and digital media (brochures, leaflets, presentations, social media assets, advertisements, trade fair stands, etc.)
- Creative development of visual concepts and layouts in line with corporate design standards
- Creative design and contribution to the implementation of merchandise items, school uniforms, etc.
- Editorial work: drafting and editing texts for online and print media
- Support with photography and image editing
- Active participation in school life (photography, event support, etc.)
Requirements:
- A completed degree in graphic design, communication design or a comparable discipline
- Relevant professional experience in graphic design, communication design, web designor a comparable field
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, etc.)
- Creativity and a keen eye for design and typography
- A structured, independent and reliable approach to work
- Flexibility and willingness to work at weekends and in the evenings
- Language skills: Knowledge of German is an advantage; fluent English, both written and spoken
